As Liberal Judaism and our communities strive to provide guidance and reassurance to our members, there is an increasing demand for prayers, poems and other resources based around the situation we are currently in.

During the coming period, we will be publishing prayers and liturgy provided by Liberal Judaism’s rabbis and our Progressive Judaism colleagues from around the world.

The Central Conference of American Rabbis (CCAR) has already produced a wonderful resource – the liturgy for concerns regarding the coronavirus – that you can access by clicking here.

It includes eight new pieces of Progressive Jewish liturgy, listed below:

A Blessing for Washing Hands During a Pandemic by Trisha Arlin
On Anxiety by Rabbi Chaim Stern
When Fears Multiply by Rabbi Hershel Matt
Prayer for God’s Love by Rabbi Rami Shapiro
A Prayer for Medical Scientists by Alden Solovy
A Prayer for Those Who Help by Susan Feldman
A Medical Practitioner’s Prayer by Rabbi Eric Weiss
Healing from Coronavirus by Alden Solovy
