Liberal Judaism’s series of 120th Anniversary Open House Shabbats continues this Friday and Saturday with two special services at Birmingham Progressive Synagogue (BPS).
An alternative Kabbalat Shabbat service begins at 6.30pm on Friday 22 July and will be followed by a chavurah supper where everyone brings a dish to share.
A morning Shabbat service starts at 11am on Saturday 23 July. It will feature the BPS choir and include reflections from the synagogue’s oldest and youngest members on their experiences of Liberal Judaism.
All members of Liberal Judaism are invited to join the celebrations either in person at the synagogue or online.
For online joining details please contact Mireille on office@bpsjudaism.com. To attend the Friday night supper, please contact Dorothy on dorothyleci@hotmail.com.
As part of the Open House Shabbat initiative, each Liberal Judaism congregation is holding at least one Shabbat during the year to celebrate our movement’s 120th anniversary.
