Principal, Leo Baeck College


Rabbi Dr. Deborah Kahn-Harris is the Principal of Leo Baeck College in London.

Prior to her appointment in 2011, she was a member of the rabbinic team at Sha’arei Tsedek/North London Reform Synagogue and lectured in Bible at LBC.

She holds a PhD in Bible from the University of Sheffield entitled “Like a Hammer for Shattering Rock: Employing Classical Rabbinic Hermeneutics to Fashion Contemporary Feminist Commentary on the Bible”.

She previously served as the Teaching Fellow in Judaism at the School for Oriental and African Studies, University of London.

She is married to Dr. Keith Kahn-Harris with whom she has two children.
