Volunteers from across Progressive communities met to share experiences of welcoming school groups into synagogues and visiting schools to teach about Judaism.
They exchanged inspiring examples of structured synagogue visits, creative teaching methods, interfaith dialogue, and approaches to balancing outreach with practical costs. The group also discussed strategies for handling challenging situations, as well as training and accreditation opportunities.
The Progressive School Visits Volunteers’ Network maintains a shared resource bank, including lesson plans, risk assessment templates, and other materials. The network meets twice a year to connect, share, and support one another. If you would like to get involved, new members are always warmly welcome.
