Crouch End Chavurah celebrations

Members of Crouch End Chavurah celebrated the community’s 13th birthday with a weekend filled with joy, learning and fellowship.

As a small Jewish community, the Chavurah has thrived by bringing together individuals seeking egalitarian participation and meaningful communal experiences – guided by Rabbi Sandra Kviat. Rooted in the Hebrew word ‘chaver’, meaning friend, this milestone highlighted the group’s commitment to contemporary prayer and study.

Throughout the weekend, members reflected on their journey, honouring the Chavurah’s role as a vibrant space for Jewish life from a modern interpretation of tradition and custom.

Karen Goldstone, one of the community’s founder members, said: “This weekend will stay in my memory forever. The Crouch End Chavurah is a beautiful family of friends who are always there for each other. Long may we continue to grow and thrive.”
