The spirit of collaboration and friendship was in full bloom as members of the Reading Liberal Jewish Community (RLJC) joined with Reading Quakers for a spring planting event at the historic Friends’ Meeting House Garden.
This tranquil space is the setting for RLJC’s monthly services, fostering a deep connection between the two communities.
Building on the success of last October’s bulb planting, an initiative now destined to become an annual tradition, the group came together to prepare seeds and bring fresh life to the garden.
Under the guidance of the Quakers’ gardening expert, they learned the art of seed propagation. Even the younger members of RLJC enthusiastically scattered wildflower seeds, ensuring a tapestry of colours will be on display in the coming months.
