Liberal Judaism is delighted to announce that Tanya Garfield is our new senior administrator.

Taking on a central role within Liberal Judaism, Tanya will provide support for all aspects of our movement’s administration including finance, lifecycle and education. She will also be providing PA support to the senior management team.

Tanya grew up in the Essex Jewish community and attended Kantor King Solomon High School. She said: “After going to a Jewish school, I went to a university without a JSoc and became very distant from the wider Jewish community. This became my path until I went on a Taglit-Birthright Israel trip in early 2019. Since then I have reconnected with my Jewish identity.

“I am now really looking forward to getting to know everyone in Liberal Judaism and its communities.”

Before joining Liberal Judaism, Tanya was evaluation coordinator and PA to the senior executive team at UJIA.

Liberal Judaism interim director Rabbi Charley Baginsky said: “I am delighted to welcome Tanya to our team. She has a wealth of skills and enthusiasm which will really benefit Liberal Judaism as a whole.”
