Leo Baeck College ordination

Leo Baeck College ordained Rabbi Andrea Steuer Zago Kulikovsky and Dr Hannah Marije Altorf in an event attended by Progressive Jews from all over the UK, held at Finchley Reform Synagogue.

Rabbi Andrea was ordained by Rabbi Professor Deborah Kahn-Harris, Principal of Leo Baeck College, with Rabbi Hannah ordained by Rabbi Miriam Berger.

The service was led by Cantor Zoë Jacobs of Finchley Reform Synagogue, Rabbi Aaron Goldstein of The Ark Synagogue and Rabbi Debbie Young-Somers of Edgware & Hendon Reform Synagogue.

The address was given by Rabbi Dr Jackie Tabick, with this year marking the 50th anniversary of her own ordination as Britain’s first woman rabbi.

Rabbi Dr Charles Middleburgh, Dean & Director of Jewish Studies at Leo Baeck College, led the Kaddish Yatom, with Progressive Judaism Co-Leads Rabbi Charley Baginsky and Rabbi Josh Levy also taking part in the service.
