Finchley Progressive Synagogue (FPS) will be running a series of Beit Midrash (adult learning) sessions on The Jewish Contribution to Modern History.

The sessions will be delivered by Lionel Lassman, a renowned researcher and speaker, as well as a founding member of FPS. They will take place on Thursday evenings from 7.30pm until 9pm. Guests are asked to make a £5 donation on the door. Refreshments will be served.

All are welcome and people can attend individual sessions or the whole set. The topics being discussed in February are:

Thursday 2 February – ‘Today I am a fountain pen!’ On Sam Levenson, a famous and beloved comedian
Thursday 9 February – The Nobel Prize exploded
Thursday 16 February – Did the Jews Initiate the French Revolution?
Thursday 23 February – Why the Jews?
