Rabbi Lea Mühlstein, one of the senior rabbis of The Ark Synagogue, has become a featured contributor to the ‘Ten Minutes of Torah‘ series run by the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) in North America.

As Chair of the European Union for Progressive Judaism (EUPJ), Rabbi Lea is the first European writer to offer weekly Torah commentaries for the long-running URJ series.

Each week, as we read the Book of Genesis, she will draw on connections between the Torah portion and the rich tapestry of European Progressive Jewish history.

She said: “My reflections will spotlight the visionaries who shaped Reform and Liberal Judaism, from the courage of pioneers like Abraham Geiger and Lily Montagu to the journeys of figures such as Isaac Mayer Wise. And I will weave sacred text with the living legacy of European Progressive Judaism.”
