Pitch your inclusion project to our judges and win £3,000!

24 March 2021 – 11 Nisan 5781

Liberal Judaism is offering £3,000 to help get a community inclusion project off the ground, as part of a competition taking place at this year’s Biennial Weekend at Home.

With a dedication to ‘inclusion in action’ at the Biennial, and beyond, we are looking for Liberal communities to pitch their project to our panel of judges with seed money up for grabs.

You might want to update some of your resources so they can be accessed by members that couldn’t otherwise; make one (or all) of your building entrances wheelchair accessible; or find a way to show solidarity with marginalised groups.

It is a blank canvas for whatever project your community would like to work on. Ultimately the idea will be to replicate the successful project across other communities, so we’re also interested in how you plan to evaluate your project.

To start the process and take part, just click here to fill in our form.

The best project plans will be selected to ‘pitch’ in a session on the final day of the Biennial to our three judges:

Kate Moross (pictured): The successful creative director, illustrator, designer and LJY-Netzer graduate. Notable clients have included Kylie Minogue, Sam Smith, Disclosure, Spice Girls, Jessie Ware, The Blessed Madonna and One Direction.

Owen Power: Liberal Judaism’s Disability and Inclusion Officer and a prominent campaigner on inclusion issues.

Sara Alston: The founder of Sea Inclusion & Safeguarding – which works with teachers and school leaders to achieve excellence in their SEND and safeguarding provision – and a member of Kingston Liberal Synagogue.

The Liberal Judaism Biennial Weekend 2021 will take place online from Friday 30 April to Sunday 2 May and has the theme Breaking Down Walls. Registration is now open – so please click here to book your place.
