Antisemitism survey

Jewish students, academics and university staff are invited to take part in the first national survey about campus antisemitism.

Organised by the Intra-Communal Professorial Group, in partnership with the Union of Jewish Students, it will provide information about the exposure and experiences of anti-Jewish racism since the Hamas attacks of 7 October.

The details will be gathered anonymously, and will help key decision makers how best to change and support students at this difficult time.

The ICPG was launched in April specifically to record and analyse the day-to-day experience of Jewish students and staff. Its Director Odeliya Lanir Zafir said: “A key part of our mission is to work with university leaders and policymakers to address antisemitism and improve campus environment for Jewish students. The data gathered is critical in enabling us to have a full picture of life on campus.”

UJS President Edward Isaacs added: “I am grateful for our partnership on this necessary work. Jewish students’ experiences with antisemitism on campus must be deeply understood and analysed to inform responses for years to come. I look forward to seeing Jewish students engage with this important survey.”

A prize draw will take place while the survey is open, offering participating students the opportunity to win £100 Amazon vouchers.
