LJY-Netzer Launches Exciting Internship Programme for Bogrim

LJY-Netzer has launched an exciting new internship-based leadership development programme as an alternative to leading on camp.  The Summer Options Scheme (SOS) is a great way for bogrim (graduates) to stay involved with LJY-Netzer while seriously boosting their CVs and having a real impact on society.

SOS is divided into two sub-options: SOS UK and SOS Y.

SOS UK

SOS UK consists of a 3-week placement at Jhub, a centre for UK-based Jewish charities. SOS UK includes an LJY-Netzer-run seminar at the beginning and the end, as well as regular catch-ups with the tsevet (staff team). The placement, at one of the charities listed below, will be complemented by presentations from other LJY-SOS participants, as well as by feedback sessions and Shabbat activities. Placements include: UK Task Force; Rene Cassin; Tzedek; Gift; Mitzvah Day; Transport for All.

SOS Y (SOS b’Yisrael)

Based in Israel with Jewish social action charities, SOS Y consists of a three-week placement with one of the organizations listed below, framed by a two-day LJY-Netzer seminar in Jerusalem at both the beginning and the end. Flights, food, accommodation and travel expenses will all be included in the programme, which is limited to 10 places. A madrich (leader) from the UK will be present at all times. Placement options are: ARDC; Rabbis for Human Rights; IRAC; Karmiel; Ayalim.
