LJY Netzer names its charity of the year

Liberal Judaism’s youth movement, LJY-Netzer, has named Parents Circle as its Supported Charity of the Year.

The Israeli charity was chosen by the participants at Veidah, LJY-Netzer’s annual decision making forum, which this year enjoyed its biggest attendance ever.

Parents Circle is a grassroots organization of bereaved Palestinian and Israeli families – promoting reconciliation as an alternative to hatred and revenge.

A record 59 young people, from school year 11 and above, attended Veidah, which was held at The Liberal Jewish Synagogue at the end of December.

Other decisions taken at the event included commitments to improve the levels of Torah education for all members and give younger participants more responsibility on events.
