| Routes launch is a huge success |

More than 75 people attended the launch of LJ Routes, the first in a series of exciting events aimed at young adults. The debut event was a Chanukkah Party held in central London at the end of December, and featured a set from the highly rated Klezmer band Payazen. Routes is headed up by Rabbi Anna Gerrard, a member of the Rabbinic Team at Liberal Judaism's head office. A delighted Anna said: "It's fantastic that Routes has got off to such a great start; a real sign that younger Jewish adults do want to find connections to their Judaism. Now we have to spread the word and look ahead to our next event on January 22." Routes is aimed at young Jews in their 20s and 30s, as well as their non-Jewish friends and partners. It is an open and non-judgemental space for all young adults, regardless of their background, involvement, knowledge level or beliefs. The next event, taking place on January 22, is a 'January Jam' - where those attending can order a hot, homemade Sunday lunch with a Mediterranean twist and listen to inspiring live music from singer/songwriter Esther Hugenholtz. That is followed by a 'Film and Falafel' event on February 11, which includes tasty Middle Eastern food, Israeli short films and a Havdalah ceremony.
