Download our Social Justice Chanukah Guide

The festival of Chanukah, which starts tonight, asks us to rededicate ourselves not only to our Judaism, but to the values we place at the centre of our faith.  In particular, it can be a time when we rededicate ourselves to the work of tikkun olam, repair of the world.

Liberal Judaism has put together a Social Justice Chanukah Guide that offers six ways to make the world just that little bit better. Just click here to download it.

The in-depth guide was written and edited by Liberal Judaism’s new social justice consultant Amelia Viney.

It covers topics including the tradition of giving, spiritual illumination, bullying, political activism, energy efficiency and bringing social justice into your congregation. The pack is full of ideas, articles and discussion topics, and there’s even a fun quiz for kids and a latke recipe.

Amelia said: “I hope this Chanukah guide will inspire families and communities to remember the convictions of our Chanukah heroes, and celebrate with social justice in mind.”
