Once every two years we dedicate a day to coming together and celebrating the achievements of Liberal Judaism and our 35 affiliated communities nationwide.

The Day of Celebration 2011 was held at the Liberal Jewish Synagogue, London on 22nd May.

Speakers on the day included Daniel Finkelstein OBE, Lee Montague and Jo Coburn.

Highlights included:

  • Salsa and Israeli dance workshops
  • Readings from the letters of Sir Basil and Lady Henriques with a presentation of selected music arrangements made in 1922 for the Choir of the Settlement Synagogue.
  • Wide range of study sessions with with our rabbis and teachers, and students from Leo Baeck College
  • Art and craft workshops throughout the day
