Inspiring Volunteers Sought for Jewish Chronicle Column - All

Is there an unsung hero in your community who volunteers tirelessly in the local area and whose story might inspire others?  The Jewish Chronicle features a weekly column on Volunteer of the Week and it would be nice to see some Liberal Jews represented there.  If you can think of someone you'd like to nominate, or if you would like to discuss this further, please email a.mankowitz@liberaljudaism.org.  Perhaps they might also be suitable for the Norwood Helping Hand Award? (see below).

Norwood Helping Hand Award - All

Norwood's Helping Hand Award is your opportunity to recognise those incredible people in the community who care unstintingly for others through their exceptional dedication and commitment.  Awards of £1,000 will be made to three people in three different age categories, and a commendation goes to all those nominated.  See the website for more information or telephone 020 8954 4555.  Closing date 4th July 2008.

'tent' and Eurojews event - 27th June - All

Tzedek event in central London - Action Rabbis and administrators

Tzedek, one of Liberal Judaism's Social Action partners, would like to invite anyone interested to an exciting event. On 26 June, Tzedek and South Africa Positive present the children of the Agape orphanage from the film We Are Together singing live at South Africa House.  There are only 200 seats in this fantastic venue on Trafalgar Square, so get your ticket soon to avoid disappointment. Tickets £25, doors 7:30.  All ticket sales go directly to the orphanage.
