Lucian J Hudson biography PDF Print E-mail

Lucian J. Hudson was Chairman of Liberal Judaism between 2009 and 2015, having served two full terms, and is now Deputy Chairman.  He is also a member of the Jewish Leadership Council and the Jewish Committee for HM Forces.  He is a former governor, Leo Baeck College and has been chairman of three non-profits over the past 15 years.

A strategy and communications specialist, and a CEDR accredited mediator, he supports governments, business and civil society organisations deliver results during times of change and crisis.

Lucian is Director of Communications, The Open University, his fifth communications chief role. He has served as Director of Communications in three UK government departments, mostly recently the FCO. He was executive producer and television journalist for 17 years at BBC and ITV.

Born of Polish parents who made the UK their home after the Second World War, Lucian was educated in Paris, London and Oxford, and converted to Liberal Judaism in 2005.
